PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), sometimes referred to as PETE, is a plastic resin of the polyester family.  PET is an excellent material for packaging your products because it is sturdy, yet lightweight. 

Black lids have a liner that is three-ply with low-density foam cores between two solid layers of low-density polyethylene. This liner has excellent chemical resistance plus a low moisture transmission rate, and could work well with many body lotions, skin creams, face washes, and cosmetics.

White lids are unlined and ribbed for better grip.
